ETIAS Will Be Required For Entry Into Europe From 2025

If you are planning on travelling to any of the 30 applicable countries in Europe, you will need an ETIAS from 2025. There is no exact date as yet, although I will update this post once one is posted.
It was supposed to be 2022, then 2024, but they have now delayed it yet until 2025.

European Travel Information and Authorization System, otherwise known as ETIAS, are similar to ESTA visa waivers, that people use when travelling to the USA.

The cost is expected to be €7 and will be valid for 3 years. You will need to apply at least 96 hours before your journey

UK residents will need and an ETIAS due to Brexit.

As a warning in advance, there are a lot of sites about ETIAS when you search online about buying an ETIAS, but most are not official! I can confirm that the only official site is the EU’s official site.

There is no way to buy one as yet as they aren’t on sale or needed as yet, but you will be able to buy them from this site.
Any other websites are unofficial as are any that are selling them now, so don’t purchase through them. There is no way to buy one as yet, so if anyone tries to sell you one, they are scamming you.

I will update this post when we have more information.
