Heathrow staff have announced they will be striking weekends in summer 2023.
These strikes could affect more than 20,000 flights carrying up to 4.4 million passengers, according to aviation analytics firm Cirium.
From 24 June 2023, there will be 31 days of strikes by more than 2,000 security staff in terminals 3 and 5.
For the first time, staff from terminal 3 are joining in on the strikes.
Apparently staff have refused a pay increase of 10.1%.
This will have a huge effect on passengers, as they targeted busy week
Dates of strikes
- June 24, 25, 28, 29 and 30
- July 14-16, 21-24, and 28-31
- August 4-7, 11-14, 18-20 and 24-27
