United Airlines has implemented iPhone’s Live Activities feature which makes them the first US airline to implement live activities.
This gives passengers real time updates with quick access to boarding pass, seat number and flight time, plus a countdown clock to the flight on their phone, even when locked.
Live activities are available on iPhones starting with the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
United Airlines passengers access their boarding pass more than 800,000 times per day! So this new feature will save passengers time and make it even easier to receive flight updates, all in real time.
With a quick glance at your iPhone, customers can:
- Get details such as flight number, on-time status, estimated departure and arrival time, , inbound aircraft status and more.
- Open boarding pass quickly from the Live Activity to simply scan during check-in or while boarding their flight
- See baggage carousel information, departure and arrival gates, pre- and in-flight countdowns, in the Dynamic Island
